Milan, 2 December 2018 – Parma Calcio’s Sporting Director Daniele Faggiano spoke following the Crociati’s 2-1 defeat at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against AC Milan.
“I’d prefer to have played worse and got points. We all need to be more alert. We conceded two goals from dubious incidents but the referee did what he had to do. Nothing more and nothing less. We need to still adapt to this kind of football which is a bit different. A Milan player was booked but then a penalty went against us. I think that Bastoni was moving away. He didn’t mean to touch the ball with his arms. It’s fine though, we’ll keep moving forward. We can look at the positives. We want to get as many points as we can so that all of us in the club, the city, the team and the fans can be calm. We can never rest on our laurels because situations such as the one today can always happen. On the Cutrone goal, there could have been a free kick on Scozzarella first. That happens. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Before, there was lots of controversy without Var. It’s not easy to be a referee or use Var. Our performance today makes me hopeful, as does the team’s desire to do well at every stadium.”
