Parma, 10 November 2019 – It’s time for another Match Pack: here are all the facts and figures that you need to know ahead of Parma vs. Roma on matchday twelve.

Roma and Parma have met on 50 previous occasions in Serie A
. The Crociati’s record against the team from Italy’s capital reads as follows: nine wins, ten draws, 31 defeats.

The Giallorossi have only lost one of their first eleven league games this season (six wins, four draws). Only twice in their history have they done better in Serie A after the same number of games: in 2013/14 and 2003/04 (zero defeats). Roma have remained undefeated in their last nine away league matches (four wins and five draws) and have kept a clean sheet in five of those. This is the longest run the Giallorossi have been on away from home since August 2018, when they went twelve unbeaten. Having conceded just two goals on opposition pitches, Roma have the best defensive record in away matches in the Top Five European Leagues so far this season.

Roma are one of four sides not to have let in any goals in the first 15 minutes of play up to this point in Serie A. Along with Cagliari, the Giallorossi boast the best record when it comes to goals conceded in the first half (just three). From the start of April, Roma are the team that have lost the fewest matches in Serie A (one). In the Top Five European Leagues, only Liverpool have done better during this period (zero). No other side has scored fewer goals than Roma in the last 30 minutes of games during the current Serie A campaign (two, level with SPAL). In the Top Five European Leagues, only Leipzig (six) have scored more than Roma (five) through defenders. Aleksandar Kolarov has scored four of these for the Giallorossi. Only Sassuolo (64) have put in fewer crosses from open play than Parma (101) and Roma (117) this Serie A season.

Juraj Kucka has scored three goals against Roma in Serie A, making the Giallorossi the team he’s netted most against in Italy’s top tier. Despite his goalscoring record, he’s lost five of the eight games he’s played against the team from Italy’s capital (two wins, one draw).

Gervinho scored 17 goals in 71 appearances for Roma between 2013 and 2016. The Ivorian netted in Parma’s last meeting against the Giallorossi, a 2-1 defeat at the Olimpico in May. The same player has scored four goals for Parma in five Serie A games against teams who started the day in the top three of the league. Along with Christian Kouamé, Simone Iacoponi is the only outfield player to have played during all 49 matchdays in Serie A since the start of last season.

Andreas Cornelius made his Serie A debut against Roma in August 2017. He went on to score in the next match he played against the Giallorossi in January 2018.

Dejan Kulusevski is the youngest out of all the players who have provided at least four assists in the Top Five European Leagues so far this campaign.
