Parma, 7 June 2019 – The third edition of Parma Moments 2018/19 looks back to our second away win of the season which came at the Stadio Ferraris against Genoa. On 7 October, this is how we lined up: Sepe, Iacoponi, Stulac, Ceravolo, Barillà, Gobbi, Di Gaudio, B. Alves (cap.), Siligardi, Gagliolo, Rigoni. The match started badly for the Crociati as Piatek headed the home sided into an early lead. The team stuck together though and equalised soon with Rigoni finishing from close range after a corner from the right.
Genoa almost retook the lead through Piatek who headed against the post, the ball continued to approach the goal but Sepe was able to claw it away before it crossed the line completely. Parma responded to the pressure in the best way possible as Siligardi broke away on the right and fired in to make it 1-2. The Crociati didn’t let up there, Barillà played it into the box for Ceravolo who beat Radu with his head. At the end of the half, Criscito headed in to make it but the referee disallowed it with assistance from VAR. Parma started the second half well, missing a chance to extend the lead from a corner as Radu made a reflex save. Genoa responded with a Bessa shot from range that Sepe saved. It therefore finished 1-3 as the Crociati picked up a second away win of the season.
