Parma, 20 June 2019 – A Bruno Alves free kick secured a draw for the Crociati after they approached the game well. Parma Moments 2018/19 now turns its gaze to the 1-1 draw at the Stadio Tardini against AC Milan.
Here was how we lined up for the match against the Rossoneri: Sepe, Iacoponi, Dimarco, Ceravolo, Barillà, Scozzarella, B. Alves (cap.), Gazzola, Gervinho, Gagliolo and Kucka.
Parma were strong from the off with a bicycle kick from the former Milan man Kucka after he got onto the end of a Gazzola cross just missing. The Crociati continued to attack with Ceravolo connecting with a Scozzarella corner only for Donnarumma to save. In the 69th minute, Milan went ahead. Suso crossed from the right and the substitute Castillejo got a touch on the ball which left Sepe with no chance.
D’Aversa side didn’t give up but rather, they had the pride to respond and get back into the game. Siligardi went close as he hit the post after being set up by Scozzarella. Parma kept going, first with Kucka who fired from range but the ball didn’t drop enough. It proved to be the prelude to the equaliser which came three minutes from time. Sproacti won a free kick and Bruno Alves stepped up to carefully place the ball into the corner and there was nothing Donnarumma could do to get there. It was the Portuguese’s fourth league goal and enough to secure a valuable point after Parma showed pride and didn’t deserve to lose. Full-time, Parma 1-1 AC Milan.
