Parma, 24 June 2019 – The match with the BluCrociati is the latest to feature in Parma Moments 2018/19 as we look back at the 3-3 draw against Sampdoria at the Stadio Tardini.

This was D’Aversa’s XI in what was a crucial match in the battle to avoid the drop: Sepe, Iacoponi, Dimarco, Ceravolo, Barillà, Scozzarella, B. Alves (cap.), Gazzola, Gervinho, Kucka e Bastoni.

The match started well for the Crociati with Gazzola opening the scoring just two minutes in, finishing after a cross was played in from the left. Sampdoria struggled to respond and Parma were defending comfortably. However, in the 28th minute, Quagliarella equalised from the penalty spot. Momentum quickly moved to the visitors with Defel firing them ahead ten minutes later before Quagliarella made it 1-3 in the 61st minute.

As has often been the case this year however. Parma didn’t give up. Rather, the team responded, grit its teeth and got to work. In the 67th minute, Colley gave away a penalty for a foul on Siligardi and Kucka cooly stepped up to pick out the corner. Everything was to play for once again and four minutes later, Alessandro Bastoni’s first Serie A goal brought Parma level. The Tardini and dugout exploded with joy. In the final exchanges, both sides went in search of a winner but it didn’t come and the match finished 3-3.
