Parma, 5 June 2019 – Our second Parma Moments of the 2018-19 season is Parma vs. Cagliari – A game that followed our victory against Inter at San Siro.

Our starting XI on 22 September at the Tardini was as follows: Sepe, Iacoponi, Dimarco, Stulac, Barillà, Di Gaudio, B. Alves (cap.), Gervinho, Gagliolo, Rigoni, Inglese. The Crociati started strong and immediately threatened through Gervinho. The game’s opener was then scored soon after, with Dimarco finding Inglese who scored well past Cragno. The Crociati continued pressing after taking the lead, with Barillà forcing a good save from Cragno from the edge of the box.

The winning goal came after the interval – one that has since entered the Crociati’s history books. Gervinho was the man behind the magic, as he sprinted the entire pitch, skipping past one, two, three before scoring.

Cagliari looked to respond through Sau although his attempt missed the target. Ceravolo soon also missed a good chance to make it 3-0, although the final whistle was soon blown to register a successful 2-0 win. “ The most important thing is to continue with this mentality and know how to manage difficult situations,” said Rigoni after the game.
