Parma, 10 June 2019 – The fourth of our 2018/19 Parma Moments takes us to the Stadio Olimpico for our away win against Torino. Let’s relive it with a summary of the match, Twitter coverage, photos and highlights.
Here was how the team lined up on 10 November: Sepe, Iacoponi, Barillà, Scozzarella, B. Alves (cap.), Gervinho, Gagliolo, Inglese, Biabiany, Grassi, Bastoni. It was a big match for two of the Crociati with Gagliolo making his 50th appearance for the club while it was Scozzarella’s first start in Serie A.
Parma took the lead right at the start. Gagliolo played the ball long to Gervinho from the left, the bounce was favourable with him running through on goal and he found the near post with his right foot. Torino looked to respond through a powerful Belotti strike but Sepe was equal to it. Soon after, Parma extended the lead. Gervinho played the ball out to Gagliolo on the left who whipped in a low cross for Inglese who applied the first-time finish. Soon after, Grassi set Biabiany up on the break but Sirigu saved from him. Torino took a chance through Baselli at the edge of the box to halve the deficit just before half-time. The second half began with Gervinho getting away on the left and picking out Inglese who rifled it against the bar. Parma kept attacking with Sirigu saving a close-range Gagliolo effort following a corner from the right bit in the end, the Crociati won 1-2 at the Olimpico.
