Reggio Emilia, 14 April 2019 – Following Parma Calcio’s draw away to Sassuolo today, the Crociati’s Sporting Director Daniele Faggiano spoke in the mixed zone at the Mapei Stadium. This is what he had to say:

“It’s an important point that changes the league table. We’re struggling to get a win under our belts, but this is a point we’re delighted to take. The penalty we missed in the first half took a bit out of us. Due to the injuries we’ve suffered, we’re having to play with a makeshift line-up at the moment. However, I think that those who are available are doing their bit. Kucka’s performance, for example, showed a great spirit of sacrifice. Everyone is putting a lot into it. It wasn’t easy, including when Sassuolo played with four strikers in the closing stages. We’ll gladly take this point and now turn our attention towards Milan. Our team is made up of men, of lads that are committed to the cause. The objective we need to achieve is the only important thing for us. When we’ve managed to achieve it, we’ll all be very happy. This is what we’ve always been working for. I honestly expected our rivals to perform like they have been doing at the end of the season. Spal, for example, were a changed side compared to when we played them earlier on in the season. Winning against Roma both home and away isn’t easy and was a demonstration of strength on Spal’s part. They have been playing in Serie A for two years now and have good players. Bologna already had an excellent squad before recruiting well in January. We’ve always been ready to fight until the very end, and this is what we’re doing.
