SPROCATI AFTER PARMA 2-0 ROMA: “I’M REALLY HAPPY WITH THE GOAL AND THREE POINTS ABOVE ALL”

Parma, 10 November 2019 – Mattia Sprocati spoke after scoring his second Parma Calcio goal in Serie A today at the Stadio Tardini against Roma.

“I’m really happy for the goal, but the three points above all because they were really important today. We know Roma, they’re a great side but if we keep playing like this we can put anyone in trouble. In the week, the Coach asked us to play how we did tonight by staying compact, getting to the second balls first while being clinical with our chances. It’s always nice to score in any case, regardless of who the opponent is. My performance? It all depends on how you work in the week. If you work well, it’s easier to be ready on Sunday, even coming off the bench. This has to be our journey. We’ll then see what happens. We need to only think about ourselves, without looking at other teams. Now, it’s the international break. We need to look to regain our strengths before thinking about the derby with Bologna so we turn up there at our best.”
