PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS
Verona have won eight out of 16 fixtures played against Parma in Serie A, with the remaining matches ending in three draws and five wins for the Crociati. Verona have remained unbeaten in eight of their last nine encounters in Serie A against Parma (W6, D2), the only exception being a 2-0 win in favour of the Ducali in March 2014. Verona and Parma have never played each other before matchday five in Serie A. GENERAL STATISTICS
Verona are one of three sides to have kept the opposition out in the first two matchdays this season. In the last five seasons, no Serie A side has succeeded in keeping three clean sheets during the first three games. Only Udinese (127) have won more duels than Verona in the league this season (120). In two matches this season, Verona have had just one corner, the fewest in the league. On the other hand, Parma have had thirteen corners, with no other team having had more. Verona are the only team this season to have already fielded at least three players born after the turn of the millennium: Ivan Ilic, Matteo Lovato and Ebrima Colley.

PLAYER FOCUS
Jasmin Kurtic has scored two goals in his last four Serie A appearances against Verona. From the 2017/18 season to the present day, he has only scored more goals against Bologna (three, but in six appearances). Luca Siligardi made 59 appearances (and scored five) in a Verona shirt, a period where he played in both Serie A and B. Juraj Kucka scored in his first Serie A match against Verona in November 2013 whilst at Genoa but then failed to find the net in his next five matches against the same side. The first time in which Gervinho both scored and registered an assist in a single Serie A fixture was against Verona: he achieved this feat for Roma in January 2014. However, he was then unable to register a goal or an assist in his next five matches against the Gialloblù.
