Parma, 6 December 2020“We would’ve liked to move the ball a bit quicker and get it up the pitch a bit more but unfortunately we weren’t able to and didn’t get the win that we wanted. It’s still a big point, which keeps our tally ticking up and gives us a bit of continuity after Monday’s win. Clearly, all three points would’ve been nice but we’ll take the draw, which is okay.” Parma defender Simone Iacoponi spoke to Sky Sport after the goalless draw against Benevento. “When you play against compact teams, who defend deep, quick tempo opens up the spaces. That’s not always easy, though. We had a few young guys playing today and you can’t take any game for granted. It wasn’t easy to beat Benevento and a draw is still helpful.”

“I don’t think we really need to look at the table too much. We need to look, instead, at the progress that we’re making. Results are coming and, consequently, the football will start to flow. I saw the right attitude and that’s the important thing as we keep going in the league.”
