Parma, 15 December 2020 – As the Crociati’s next league fixture approaches, here’s our Match Pack for Parma vs. Cagliari.

Parma and Cagliari are set to meet for the 43rd time in Serie A, with the Crociati’s record against the Isolani reading as follows: 18 wins, eleven draws, 13 defeats. Cagliari emerged victorious from their trip to the Tardini last season; they’ve only won two consecutive away matches against the Ducali in Serie A once, with the second victory coming in January 2011.

Fabio Liverani’s Parma have drawn five of their first eleven league fixtures, including the last two (W2, D4). The last Crociati Coach to pick up at least as many draws in his first eleven Serie A matches in charge of Parma was Roberto Donadoni (six), who did so between January and March 2012. Cagliari have scored 18 goals this season; only twice in their history have they done better after eleven fixtures of a Serie A campaign: 19 in 2016/17 and 26 in 1968/69.

Roberto Inglese has found the net three times in six matches against Cagliari in Serie A: twice for Chievo and once for Parma, with the latter coming at the Tardini in September 2018. Juraj Kucka has scored in each of his last two fixtures against Cagliari in the Italian top flight after failing to get on the scoresheet against them in eight matches prior to this. Hernani has been involved in five goals in ten matches this season (three goals, two assists), one more than in his previous 32 Serie A games (four goal contributions). Bruno Alves made his Serie A debut in August 2016 while on Cagliari’s books (vs. Genoa). The current Parma captain went on to play 36 league matches for the Sardinian side in 2016/17. Simone Colombi also took to the pitch for the first time in the Italian top flight as a Cagliari player. He did so against Sassuolo in August 2014, the first of his three appearances for the Isolani in the competition.
