Parma, 23 January 2021 – The Match Pack for Parma vs. Sampdoria is now available, bringing you all the relevant information and statistics ahead of the Crociati’s next match.

This match will be the 43rd meeting between Parma and Sampdoria in Serie A: the balance favours the Crociati, who have 16 wins compared to 15 for the Blucerchiati, and there have been eleven draws. In their last ten encounters in Serie A Parma and Sampdoria have not repeated the same scoreline twice in a row; there have been three Gialloblù victories, three draws, and four Blucerchiati victories, including in their most recent fixture in July. In the last two matches between Parma and Sampdoria at the home of the Emilians, there have been eleven goals scored (five for the hosts and six for the visitors); just one fewer than in the six encounters at the Tardini before that (seven for Parma and five for Sampdoria).

Gervinho has scored two goals against Sampdoria in Serie A, including one in the most recent match in a Parma jersey in July – the Ivorian striker scored his first goal in the top flight against Sampdoria in September 2013 while with Roma. With his goal against Sassuolo last time out, Juraj Kucka has scored three goals this season: it is already a personal best for the Parma midfielder in the first half of Serie A. Sampdoria could become the second team against which Kucka has scored more than two goals in Serie A after Roma (four goals). The Slovakian midfielder has two goals against the Ligurians in the league, scored in his last two appearances against them.

Roberto Inglese scored his first goal in Serie A against Parma (with Chievo in November 2015). The Parma forward is on a dry run in terms of goals over his last twelve appearances in the tournament, his second longest drought in the top flight since September 2016 (24 games without hitting the mark). Sampdoria could become the eighth team against which Jasmin Kurtic has scored more than one goal in the competition: his only goal against them in the league so far came for SPAL in March 2019. His goal that day was the Slovenian’s second (and last) goal from a direct free kick in the competition. Luigi Sepe is the only Parma player who has appeared in all 18 matches of this Serie A season, while Daan Dierckx (born in 2003) is the youngest player with at least one appearance in the league.
