Parma, 24 January 2021“Given our results and the league table, there are a lot of thoughts on our minds right now. We need to improve our league position in order to achieve our objective.” This is what Luigi Sepe had to say to Sky Sport following this evening’s 2-0 defeat to Sampdoria. The Parma goalkeeper continued: “I don’t know what didn’t work this evening. From the pitch, you see a different game compared to what’s shown on TV. We made a lot of mistakes, and these cost us the game. At the moment, we’re not scoring and concede when our opponents have their first shot. We need to look ahead and put in the hard work to turn things around.

“Of course I’m optimistic. While it’s true that we lost tonight and we’d be relegated to Serie B if the league season finished today, there are 19 games left and a lot of points up for grabs. We know that we’re capable of picking up the points we need, and we must do all that we can and think positively in the process.”
