Parma, 4 February 2021 – After making his league debut, Dennis Man was presented as a new Parma player at Collecchio today. This is what he had to say:

“I’m aware of just how tough Serie A is, I’ll try to adapt as soon as possible. My teammates have given me a warm welcome and I feel ready for this challenge. I’ll do my best to help the team.

“Who do I take inspiration from? Being Romanian, Adrian Mutu inspired me a lot. This wasn’t just the case for me, but the whole of my generation: everybody knew about him and the fact that he played in Italy, scoring goals here.

“I think I’m a player with quite good technical ability and who possesses really good vision. I’m able to understand situations and adapt, while I’m also very quick. From the first day, I was welcomed with open arms, and this makes me happy. D’Aversa previously worked miracles here, and, from speaking to him, I get the feeling that he’s very good at what he does. He’ll be able to deal with the current situation. We need to pick up points, it’s not easy for the newcomers but the fact that the group is united will help us achieve our goal.

“Parma have a very good team and a rich history. I’m happy to be here and want to immediately adapt to help the team. I will do my best out of respect for the Club and its history. I’m aware of the difference between the Romanian and Italian leagues, I came on for the final ten minutes in Naples and immediately understood it wasn’t the same. I think I’m up to the task and am looking to take to the pitch and display my qualities. I want to work hard and can’t wait for the next match to arrive.”
