Parma won their last home match against Roma in the Italian top flight, with this victory coming in November 2019 (2-0). Up to now, the Crocati have only recorded at least two consecutive Serie A home wins against the Giallorossi between 1990 and 1993 (three back then). Parma have drawn just one of their last 17 matches against Roma on home soil in Italy’s top division: a 0-0 stalemate in October 2010. Five Gialloblù wins and eleven Giallorossi victories complete the picture.

No Parma player has contributed to more Crociati goals than Hernani in the league this season: seven (five goals, two assists). Six of these goal involvements have come away from home, with the only exception being his recent volleyed finish against Inter at the Tardini. Giuseppe Pezzella has provided four assists in 17 appearances this season. In his previous 66 matches in the Italian top flight, he didn’t register any at all. In the past 15 years, only one Parma defender has registered more assists than Giuseppe Pezzella (four) in a single Serie A campaign: Mattia Cassani in 2013/14 (five). Gervinho’s first 71 appearances in Italy’s top division came for Roma between 2013 and 2016. In his first Serie A season (2013/14), the Ivorian provided ten assists while on the Giallorossi’s books. His other five seasons in the Italian top flight have seen him set up a teammate to score on twelve occasions.

Marco Piccinini is set to take charge of his 31st match in Serie A and his tenth of the season. Parma are yet to lose in the Italian top flight when he’s been the man in the middle (W1, D2). Roma have won all three of their league matches when Piccinini has been the referee, including two victories this campaign (against Crotone and Verona).
