Parma, 5 July 2021 – The official ball for the 2021/22 Serie BKT season has been unveiled. The Kombat Ball 2022 pays homage to the Campionato Degli Italiani with a net graphic that represents the 20 cities present in the league and the fans of the clubs, who are united in their passion for the beautiful game. This is the fifth year that Kappa has provided Lega Serie B with the most essential piece of equipment in the game: the ball. The partnership was recently renewed until the 2023/24 season as a sign of great mutual trust and that reflects the success of the Made in Italy campaign.
The innovative 24-panel design makes its return for this edition. The external surface of the ball takes inspiration from golf balls, with micro-grooves for increased aerodynamics. Pressure is uniformly distributed over the panels, and within the ball, which allows for improved player performance on the pitch as they can now strike the ball with greater power and accuracy.
Lega Serie B president Mauro Balata said that a football is “a magical piece of equipment, which has been with us since childhood, bringing great joy and cause for sharing. For that reason, our partnership with Kappa has taken on an even more significant role for us, who hold these sporting values.”
