Frosinone, 20 August 2021 – After the match, Gennaro Tutino spoke to the press about scoring his first Crociati goal:
“Today is my birthday, I would have liked to celebrate with a victory and with my teammates. We didn’t manage to get the win. My goal takes a back seat. Of course I’m happy but I wanted to bring home a win. There have been many positive signs, especially because ours is a whole new team, with players who have only recently arrived. We don’t all know each other very well, there is still room for improvement and work, but we’re on the right path. This is a very difficult championship, you have to stay on track until the final minute, as we saw today. But we know how to suffer, and it’s a good sign because sometimes you can risk losing these games. Today it went okay.”
“For me, it’s an honour to be at Parma and to have been wanted in this way. The club has shown great confidence in me, as I said it’s an honour because Parma are the fourth-best Italian team for European trophies. There are champions like Buffon, like Vazquez, we have to follow their lead, we have to listen to them. Then, as I said, we have to work, work and work. I’ll take this opportunity also to offer one thought: We learned that a Frosinone fan passed away before the match, and on behalf of the team we want to send a hug to the family, we are very sorry.”
