Parma, 26 August 2021 – At the end of today’s training session, Felix Correia spoke to the media at Collecchio. Here are his words:
“There is a good group being created here. Since I’ve been here everyone has been helping me to be able to express myself as best I can, and they make everything easier for me. Yes, I feel 100% ready, I have worked over these two weeks and I’m ready to give my contribution if necessary. Maresca? I talked to some people, they all told me how good he is, that he has the right mentality; I also saw the interviews Guardiola gave about Maresca, I appreciate his way of conducting training, the way he relates to the players”.
“Cristiano Ronaldo? Working alongside him was a great experience, we talked every day, he spurred me on a lot and I learned a lot from him: On the other hand, we are talking about a club that has had or has among its ranks highly experienced people like Buffon, Chiellini, Bonucci; it was certainly a great deal of experience for me. Playing in Serie C last year helped me change my mentality, as well as my football. I can play on both the left and right, as well as in the typical number 10 position”.
“Buffon is a great person, he often makes jokes and brings positive feelings; he is a legend of the sport and will help the team a lot. It won’t be an easy season, we’re working to try to bring Parma back to Serie A but we must remain focused on this championship because it will be tough. I usually shoot with my right foot, but I can also play with my left. Here at Parma, there have been several important Portuguese players, most recently Bruno Alves who is a great professional and before him Couto, Conceicao, Paulo Sousa – all great players”.
