Parma, 4 September 2021 – After today’s training session, Enrico Delprato met with journalists at Collecchio. Here’s what he had to say:

Why Parma? The Crociati had shown interest in me back in June but Atalanta wanted me to go on a training camp with them. Then, in the last few days of the window, they told me that they wanted me to go out on loan again and Parma were still interested, so it was easy for me to make the decision to come here. Both of my seasons in Serie B have been tough but that’s why I’m a better player now. The first, in Livorno, was especially tough. Last season in Reggio Calabria, the atmosphere was different to what I’m used to in Bergamo but it was a great experience, which helped me to grow. I hope to use all of this experience to my advantage while I’m here at Parma. Whether I marked Tutino last season? No, because I was injured but I know him well. He had a great season last year and now he’s my teammate. He’ll definitely give us a hand.”

A role in the offensive and defensive phases? I’m really curious and I’m ready to do it. It’s not often you find a style of playing like this in Italy. The Coach has some interesting ideas; I only recently arrived here but I’ll have a chance to work with him and do what he asks of me. The project here at Parma is to give it our all to get back to Serie A but all the games are tough, whether you’re battling relegation or chasing promotion. In fact, relegation playouts are even tougher. But I’m here to work and to give my all in this shirt.”
