Parma, 6 September 2021 – After the international break, Parma, who beat Benevento at home in their last league outing, will return to Serie B action away to Pordenone at 20:30 CEST on Sunday.

The Neroverdi were busy during the summer transfer window. One new face in their ranks is former Crociati player Amato Ciciretti, who, along with Folorunsho, arrived from Napoli. El Kaouakibi, Sylla, Valietti, Petriccione, Cambiaghi, Mensah, Tsadjout, Onisa, Perri, Greco, Zammarini, Kupisz and Pellegrini also joined the club. Pordenone started the season with Massimo Paci in the dugout, but he’s now been replaced by Massimo Rastelli.

Pordenone’s season officially began on 13 August, when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Spezia in the Coppa Italia. In the league, meanwhile, they lost 1-0 at home to Perugia and were beaten 5-0 away to Spal. They lined up with the following team for the clash in Ferrara: Perisan; Valietti (65’ Mensah), Camporese, Bassoli, Falasco; Magnino, Petriccione, Folorunsho (65’ Biondi); Kupisz (79’ Zammarini),Tsadjout (79’ Butic), Pellegrini (18’ Stefani). Subs: Bindi, Ciciretti, Pasa, Cambiaghi, Chrzanowski.

The last time Parma and Pordenone met was in 2016, during a season which saw the Crociati promoted to Serie B via the playoffs. In the semi-finals, D’Aversa’s side defeated the Neroverdi on penalties, with the following players taking to the pitch that day: Frattali, Iacoponi, Mazzocchi (63’ Lucarelli), Nocciolini (83’ Edera), Baraye, Munari, Scozzarella (38 Corapi), Di Cesare, Calaiò, Scavone, Scaglia.
