● SPAL and Parma are set to face off in a Serie B showdown for the first time in over 40 years. Indeed, the last time they did so was in May 1980, when they played out a 0-0 draw. The two sides have come up against each other ten times in Italy’s second tier since the introduction of a round-robin format. There have been four wins apiece and two draws.

● After a run of three consecutive victories, SPAL have since gone on to win just one of their last six Serie B matches against Parma (D2, L3): a 1-0 success in March 1975. They failed to score in any of the others.
