Parma, 17 December 2021 – Alessandria are the Crociati’s next opponents in Serie BKT as Parma travel to Piedmont on Sunday at 14:00 CET. Here are a few stats related to the game:

Alessandria and Parma will face off in Serie B for the first time in over 45 years; the last game between the two in the second division was a 0-0 draw at home in March 1975. In the 20 total meetings between the two in Serie B, the two sides have won six matches apiece and drawn eight.

Alessandria have drawn five of their last seven games (W1, L1) against Parma in Serie B. The Grigi have only drawn more matches against Modena (11) and Palermo (10) in the second tier of Italian football than they have against Parma (8).

Parma have never won in ten trips to Alessandria in Serie A: six draws – including the most recent match in Piedmont in 1974 – and four defeats.

Alessandria scored four goals last time out against Reggina – as many is in their six previous Serie B matches. Furthermore, the Grigi could keep two consecutive clean sheets for the first time this season.

Parma are without a win in six league matches (D4, L2); the Ducali haven’t registered a longer winless streak in the second tier since February 1990 (seven) with Nevio Scala at the helm.

Alessandria have scored a greater percentage of their goals from corners than any other side in the league this season: 26% (5/19), while only Frosinone and Ternana (4% each) have a lower percentage in this regard than Parma (5%, 1/19).

Only Como (278) have faced more shots than Parma (253) than Parma this season; Alessandria, meanwhile, are seventh for this least amount of shots faced (209).

Roberto Inglese has taken part in each of Parma’s last three goals (two goals and one assist) in Serie B, after having taken part in just two of the Crociati’s previous 16 in Serie B (one goal and one assist).

Alessandria will be the 194th team that Gianluigi Buffon has faced in his career (both at club and international level).

Simone Corazza has already scored eight goals in 17 league games this season: three more than in the 47 games played in his last two Serie B seasons as a Novara player. However, only one of these goals has come at home: against Brescia in September.
