Parma, 18 January 2022 – Parma Calcio 1913 are morning international referee Alberto Michelotti, who passed away in recent hours.

The entire Club (owners, directors, coaching staff, players, employees and volunteers) would like to extend their deepest condolences to Alberto’s family at this devastating time.

As a boy in the post-war period, Michelotti played for our youth teams mainly as a goalkeeper but also in other outfield positions.

Alberto, as a local lad, always remembered his time at the Club with immense pride. He was always present and close to the Gialloblù at every point of our Club’s history: as a pillar of the “former Gialloblù” community, as a radio and TV pundit and, above all else, as a passionate Parma fan.

Michelotti was a son of Oltetorrente, the neighbourhood of Parma where he was born, grew up and lived. He was one of the true symbols of Parmigianità: the sanguine, combative, impetuous and passionate mentality embodied by the historic white jersey with the black cross.

Goodbye, Crociato Alberto.
