Collecchio, 19 January 2022 – After his first training session with his new teammates, Parma’s new signing Francesco Cassata spoke for the first time as a Crociati player. Here is what he had to say:

“I’m so happy to be here, I couldn’t wait to join my teammates and I’m pumped for this new adventure. My first moments with the team? All my teammates have been so welcoming, I’ve come into a strong and tightly-knit group and I’ve been impressed by the organisation of this club. We’re all ready to try and achieve big things here. How big a fan am I of Parma? I’m thrilled both to be here at Parma and back on the pitch, I’ve missed it a bit lately and now it’s time to prove my worth. Together with my teammates and the coach we’ll show you what we can do.

The injury? I’ve come back from an injury that has shaped me a lot in terms of my character. It was a difficult time, but now I’m finally feeling good. And I’m fully recovered. I can’t wait to get on the pitch and show what I’m worth. Frosinone? I know a lot of the guys at Frosinone, I also know Grosso because I was in the Primavera team at Juventus and I know how he works. It will be a tough game, but I think we’ll be ready for it.

Are there more teams fighting for the top spot than ever this year? It’s a very tight league. There are a lot of teams who can aspire for promotion to Serie A, we have to be ready on Friday. Do we want to go back up? We’ll have the chance to make a big impact on our league season as early as Friday and we’ll have to be ready because it’s going to be tough. And game after game we have to show what we can do.”
