Parma, 1 March 2022 – Our away visit to Monza is next on the agenda for the Crociati, with kick-off fast approaching, tomorrow at 18:30 CET. Let’s take a look at the statistics and match facts ahead of the game
● Of all the teams Monza have never lost at home to in Serie B, Parma is the team against whom tomorrow’s opponents have recorded the best record in home matches, unbeaten in 15: 10 wins, and 5 draws.
● Parma won their last league fixture against SPAL (4-0); the Emilians haven’t managed back to back wins in the league since last November, in games against Cittadella and Vicenza.
● Parma have not conceded in their previous two games of the league campaign, after having conceded seven in their previous three before that. They’ve not kept clean sheets for three consecutive Serie B matches since April 2018 ( against Frosinone, Cittadella and Ascoli).
● Parma have drawn four of their last six championship games away from home (1W, 1L), keeping a clean sheet on four of these occasions, including most recently in their draw, after the Gialloblù had drawn only two of their last seven previous away games in the league (2W, 3L).
● Monza were unable to find the goal in their last league match, after having found the net in each of their previous 17 matches; the last time in which the Brianzoli went goalless in consecutive Serie B matches was against Lecce and Parma last October.
● Monza lost their last league game against Lecce and have never lost back to back games since their return to Serie B (2020/2021).
● Monza are eleventh for passes played into their opponents penalty area in this Serie B campaign: 549 (Parma are 10th with 572). However, only Ascoli (13.3) can boast a better average between touches in the opposition area and goals scored than the Brianza team: one goal for every 13.7 balls played.
● Mattia Valoti was the player with the most goal contributions in the league this February: six involvements, four goals and two assists (the next best with 5, Franco Vázquez, of Parma).
● Only Lorenzo Colombo (March 2002) is younger than Adrian Benedyczak (November 2000) in the list of players who have scored at least five goals in the league so far.
