Parma, 18 April 2022 – At the end of the match against Ascoli, Enrico Delprato spoke to the journalists in the press office of the Tardini stadium.

Here’s what he had to say:

“Personally, I believe we showed the right attitude from the first minute, creating several chances in the first half. Then unfortunately the game didn’t go in our favour. We took the lead, but the goal was ruled out for handball, and less than three or four minutes later, we conceded the goal. It didn’t work out well for us. In the second half we pushed, committing men in attack, whilst also offering very little to the opposition. Unfortunately we were just missing that equaliser that would have changed the game. Before last week’s defeat against Brescia, we had gone nine games unbeaten, so we continued our belief and tried to replicate this tonight. The league is like this and our finishing in several home games has bn poor; unfortunately we failed to score and did well to create the opportunities, which is important. However, this has been the tale far too often. Now we focus on these last three games. It’s a season that hasn’t ended as we hoped it would, but it has definitely taught us a lot and we must take the positives from this season. My future? I hope to stay because everything is set up to do well here and I am happy. I’m here on loan so we’ll wait and see at the end of the season. We have analysed the games; we have amassed fifteen draws and in most of those we deserved more than our opponents, and with draws you don’t really get anywhere fast. It is the victories that help you progress. Ascoli despite having lost a fair few, they have also won many games too. Even here at home, we have dawn a few games, which does nothing for your league standing”.
