Parma, 10 August 2022 – Our first league game of the season against Bari on Friday 12 August will also officially kick-off the 2022/23 Serie BKT season. Here are some statistics and information about previous meetings between the two sides:

  • Friday’s match will be the 33rd between the sides in Serie B, with the balance slightly in favour for the side from Apulia, who have eleven wins against nine for the Crociati. There have also been twelve draws.
  • Out of the sides currently in Serie B, Only against Modena (15) have Parma drawn more games after Bari in the league.
  • Parma and Bari have already met twice on the opening day of Serie B: a 1-1 home draw in September 1961, and a 2-0 win at home for the Biancorossi in September 1984.
  • Parma are unbeaten in their last five opening Serie B league games, with two wins and three draws. Their last defeat in the league was in the 1987/88 season, a 2-0 home defeat to Cremonese.
  • Bari are playing in Serie B for the 48th time in their history. The last season in which they took part as a newly-promoted team (1984/85) they finished in 3rd place, earning them promotion to Serie A.
  • Bari have only lost one of their last eight Serie B openers, winning four and drawing three; the defeat coming against Cittadella (2-1) in August in 2016.
