Collecchio, 20 August, 2022 – The last friendly of the pre-season for Parma Femminile ended 0-0. On Saturday, August 20, 2022 the team hosted Brescia CF, a side registered in the Serie B Women championship. It took place at the “Villaggio Crociato” in Collecchio (the central grass pitch of the Youth Sector), in front of about 300 spectators – including the entire Primavera Femminile team with Coach Ilenia Nicoli and her staff, and the head of the Youth Women’s team, Federico Pangrazi. The positives to be taken are the domination and build-up play shown by Coach Fabio Ulderici’s team; the negative is that all the chances produced are not being put away. Beyond Marija Maredinho Banusic hitting the crossbar, some saves from the opponent’s goalkeeper Alice Lugli and a block on the line by Captain Veronique Brayda, the team, in general, lacked the killer instinct needed in front of goal for some of the Crociate’s gifted individuals. So pre-season ends without victory (after the 3-2 defeat against Sassuolo and 2-0 defeat to Inter, and the two draws: 1-1 with Zurich and today’s 0-0) but the path of growth for Mister Fabio Ulderici’s players is evident and a good omen for the league that will start on Sunday evening, 28th August 2022 with the difficult away match against Inter.

This is Coach Fabio Ulderici’s comment at the end

“We played a game in which we created a lot of chances, but unfortunately we were not able to finish them, and this is what we need to improve, because it is really important to understand that when you have six, seven, eight chances on goal you have to score, because then, when you score, the game changes. You gain confidence, as then everything becomes easier, and instead we had a lot of chances on goal, but we were not able to finish them. However, I must say that I also saw some progress in the game management, I saw a team that defended by attacking and running forward.”
