Parma, 7 September 2022 – Parma are back in action on Saturday at 14.00 CEST to face Ternana on matchday 5 of the Serie BKT season. Here are some stats and facts ahead of the game in this week’s MatchPack:

  • Parma and Ternana have faced each other eight times so far in Serie B, with the Umbrian side leading by four wins to two; two draws complete the tally.
  • Ternana have won their last two games against Parma in Serie B, scoring three goals on both occasions. In the second division, the Crociati have only suffered three consecutive defeats, conceding at least three goals, against two teams in their history: Novara (1932) and Padova (1945).
  • Parma are unbeaten in their opening four league games this season (1W, 3D). The Emilian side have only ever gone unbeaten in their first five league games of Serie B three times: in 1986, in 1961 and in 1947.
  • Since the start of last season Parma have drawn 10 out of 21 matches in Serie B (including this season’s opening fixture against Bari): a record in this time frame (Perugia and Pisa have drawn 9).
  • Parma kept a clean sheet in their last home league match against Cosenza; the Crociati have not gone two matches in a row without conceding a goal at the Tardini in the competition since November 2021 (vs Monza and Vicenza).
  • Ternana’s previous Serie B game ended in a draw against Cosenza; the Umbrian team has not drawn two consecutive matches in Serie B since November 2021 (vs Cittadella and Lecce).
  • Out of the teams in this league, Ternana has scored in the most consecutive matches: an impressive 19; this is the longest scoring streak Serie B (at 16 was Dominante, in the 1930s).
  • Parma have conceded the fewest shots in the league so far (36); Ternana are ranked fourth with 40.
  • Of all the players yet to score this season, Franco Vázquez has had the most shots (15). The Argentinian scored his only goal at the Tardini last season against Ternana in February.
  • Andrea Favilli has already scored three league goals this season, after failing to score in the final 10 games of last season whilst playing for Monza. The Ternana striker has found the net in each of his last two games and has not scored in three consecutive league matches since October 2017, with Ascoli (with a goal against his current club coming in the middle).
