Parma, 21 October 2022 – At stadio Druso in Bolzano, where we will return to play on Saturday 22 October (14:00 CEST) on matchday 10 of 2022/23 Serie BKT, Parma came up against Bolzano in three league games when they were still in early existence.: two in the second tier and once in Serie C.

They came at the end of the 1940’s and beginning of the 50’s. There were two defeats and a 1-0 win, with the goal coming in this third game from midfielder Giorgio Marconi.

In today’s Crociati History, though, the most memorable moment from the ground, where the Isarco River runs alongside, is still fresh in the memory and brings up lots of warm, strong feelings. It was one of the matches that helped in the rebirth of our Club.

It was a Lega Pro (Serie C) fixture on the Day of the Immaculate Conception six years ago, Thursday 8 December 2016.

The opposition were not Bolzano, but the current Football Club Sudtirol, who we will face at the weekend.

It was Roberto D’Aversa’s first game in charge in our dugout.

The Head Coach had replaced Luigi Apolloni, sacked a couple of games prior.

In the two games before his arrival, the reins were temporarily given to Stefano Morrone, Coach of the Berretti side (Youth team).

We won by the finest of margins, 1-0.

The scorer of the goal was forward Manuel Nocciolini in the 61st minute’.

Barbabomber, set up by former Sudtirol player, Manuel Scavone, was astute.

From around the penalty spot, he fired in the winner, placing the ball in the bottom right-hand corner past goalkeeper Richard Gabriel Marcone.
