Parma, 25 November 2022 – Parma Women’s midfielder Ludovica Silvioni spoke this afternoon, Friday 25 November 2022, in a live telephone call with the programme “Palla in Tribuna”, on Radio Parma’s 102 and 104 channels.

These are her answers to host Alberto Dallatana’s questions:

“Monday night at 19.00 CET, at the Stadio Tardini, Parma will play Inter: unfortunately I won’t be there because I’m injured. Last Saturday, against Juventus, we didn’t manage to bring home the points we wanted, but we’re still happy with the performance we put in on the pitch and we’ll try to take what we did well.

The start of the season was a bit difficult: we are a new team that is trying to play together as much as possible. Let’s look at the last performance, which is the most important, and try to continue like that, bringing home the points we need to reach our goal.

My passion for football is thanks to my brother, because I used to play with him in the garden. I had my first years at Perugia, then I was at Juventus for two years as a Primavera player and then I had my first experience in Serie A at Bari and it was very useful because as a very young player I stepped onto the pitch in the top division. Last year I went to Empoli, and now I am at this great club.

The male football player who inspires me most is Marchisio: he is my role model and I have followed him since I was a child…

I am following the World Cup and the favourites for me remain Argentina, despite the defeat against Saudi Arabia, and I still believe in them: they are a great team and in my opinion they will win.

The good thing that Italy Women’s team is taking away is exactly what we needed, because we were kept aside for a long time and now we are taking away some small satisfaction…

Professionalism in football? We have to thank our colleagues who had gone before, who fought to make this movement become a real job and now we have to continue on this road, with our heads down, to ensure that it grows more and more.

We are living the real thing: the president makes us feel we are on the same level as the boys and we are more than honoured to be playing in the great Stadio Tardini and we must reward him for everything he is giving us… He has made a great impression on us: he makes us feel we are on the same level as the boys, he does not let us lack anything and above all he makes us feel his support, even though he is far away. He often come to see our matches: we’re very happy…

The main dream? To win a World Cup or the Champions League would be the best…

For the national team I played in both the Under-17 and Under-19 teams and last year I also did some training camps with the 23s: wearing that blue shirt is always a special feeling…”
