Parma, 2 December 2022 –Sassuolo will be the Crociate’s next opponents at the Stadio Renzo Ricci at 12:30 CET on Sunday 4 November.

Here are all the pre-match stats with our Match Pack.

The reverse fixture was the first meeting between Sassuolo and Parma in Serie A. In that game, the Crociate got the better of their opponents thanks to goals from Michela Cambiaghi and Alice Benoit (Giada Pondini scored for the Neroverdi). Sassuolo could thus become the first Serie A team Parma go two consecutive games against without losing. Sassuolo have lost two out of the three Emilia-Romagna derbies they’ve played in the Italian top flight (these defeats came against Parma and San Zaccaria). Their only victory over such opponents was against San Zaccaria in March 2018.

After wins in their last two league games, Sassuolo could record three successive top-flight victories for the first time since February. The Neroverdi are unbeaten in four league fixtures (W2, D2); only Roma have done better than this (twelve points) across the last four matchdays. Sassuolo kept a clean sheet in their win over Sampdoria last week. They haven’t recorded two successive Serie A shutouts since April, while the last time they won at least two consecutive top-flight games without conceding was in October 2021 (four back then).

Melania Martinovic has scored four goals in ten appearances this Serie A campaign, double the amount she netted across 16 games for Fiorentina and Sampdoria last season. Martinovic has been involved in four goals in the last three matchdays; no player has done better in terms of goal contributions in this period (four for Martina Piemonte and Lindsay Thomas, too).

Michela Cambiaghi will be up against her former side: the forward scored 17 goals for Sassuolo in Serie A between the 2018/19 and 2021/22 seasons. Her only goal this campaign came in the reverse fixture against the Neroverdi on 12 September. Danielle Cox and Arianna Acuti have also previously found the net against Sassuolo: the defender bagged for Pomigliano in their 4-2 defeat to the Neroverdi on 7 November 2021, while the 26-year-old got on the scoresheet as Empoli drew 2-2 against the Emilians on 14 December 2019.

Eleonora Goldoni bagged her first Serie A goal this campaign in Sassuolo’s win over Sampdoria. She scored four times across the first eleven matchdays last year, one of which arrived in her team’s eleventh fixture of the season (for Napoli against Pomigliano). She now has the chance to find the net in two consecutive Serie A matches for the first time in her career.
