Parma, 16 December 2022 – The celebration of Parma Calcio’s 109th Birthday ended with a beautiful toast together with lots of families, little girls and boys and, of course, the Crociati fans. A real hug, finally, no longer virtual because of Covid-19. A hug at our sporting home, the Stadio Ennio Tardini, which was set up for a really fun and engaging party, together with the Curva Nord and the staff of the Parma Clubs Coordination Centre.
At the cake cutting and toast, in addition to Managing Director Corporate Luca Martines and Chief Operating Officer Stefano Perrone, there was a very important delegation: Coach Fabio Pecchia and Captain Gigi Buffon, together with Team Manager Alessio Cracolici, Men’s First Team players Edoardo Corvi, Alessandro Circati, Valentin Mihaila, Ange Yoan-Bonny and Women’s First Team players Rebecca Tinti, Melania Martinovic, Gloria Ciccioli and Antoinette Jewel Williams, accompanied by Coach Domenico Panico and Sporting Director Domenico Aurelio. The Parma Special boys also participated in force in the event. And they brought their enthusiasm to the eSports tournament, where they decided to challenge in “friendly mode” some champions.
So many smiles, so many selfies and so much desire to spend the birthday No. 109 of our club all together. The highlight took place under the Petitot grandstand, South side, while in the North area recreational-sports areas were set up for children to play with the staff of Academy Parma Calcio.
Three, instead, were the games that were set up inside the areas of the Tardini stadium. In the press room great excitement and involvement for the “Prize Quiz,” a tournament that was divided into two categories. For the older and the younger ones. In the Tardini Onore area, the first eSports tournament of Fifa23 “Birthday Cup” came to life: 32 participants played, at the end on the podium, after a long and exhausting joystick challenge, the winner Manuel Di Nuzzo (nickname: Busio), the runner-up Deivis Xhelo (Deivis01120) and the third runner-up Nicola Zalotov (zarzalotovXIX).
Finally, in the dining hall, the little ones enjoyed the Workshop with the creation of Christmas ball crosses. Organized together with the boys and girls of the Curva Nord, it was really a success because of the great participation and the joyful atmosphere that was created.
So many participants wanted to take the opportunity to take a tour of the stadium and a tour of the Parma Museum and end a day of celebration with a Crusader flavor. Before leaving the stadium and the party, fans had one last surprise: free tickets were distributed for the Under 14s, accompanied by a parent, for the match on Sunday, December 18, against Spal.
Happy Birthday, Parma Calc109… see you again next year, December 16 2023, for the 110th anniversary of our club!
