Parma, 29 December 2022 – The final standings of the first half of the season tell of a very balanced Serie B season. Much more than the current standings tell.

In the ‘goals scored-goals conceded’ category, the Crociati were third with 25 goals scored (after Reggina, Pisa and Bari first with 30, Modena and Frosinone second with 28) and fifth with 20 goals conceded together with Pisa and Benevento (after Frosinone 11, Genoa 14, Reggina 16 and Bari 19). Scorers were: 4 each for Man and Inglese; 3 for Vazquez and Delprato; 2 for Tutino, Camara and Mihaila; 1 each for Estévez, Valenti, Oosterwolde, Benedyczak and Bonny. A team effort, as can be seen from the total number of players who scored: 12, on par with Reggina, who share first place with the Crociati in this special classification.

Analysing the shots attempted and conceded, the Crociati showed a clear and precise balance. Parma came third in total shots attempted (279), behind Frosinone (296) and Cagliari (288), while they were third in the ranking of shots on goal together with Reggina (after Genoa and Frosinone).

First place, however, in shots allowed is Parma with only 171 shots towards Chichizola, Buffon and Corvi over the course of 19 matches: no one has done better in Serie B, with Reggina and Genoa in second place. While in shots on goal conceded, Frosinone lead (45) with the Crociati in fourth place (61): in between Reggina (56) and Genoa (60).
