Marco Di Vaio

After coming through the youth ranks of Lazio, where he made his Serie A debut at the young age of 18, Di Vaio really established himself as a top-flight player following an excellent season at Salernitana.

He joined Parma in the summer of 1999 and immediately took to the pitch as a starter alongside Crespo as the Crociati won the Supercoppa Italiana thanks to a 2-1 victory over AC Milan. In his third season at the Gialloblù, he finished fourth in the Serie A scoring charts thanks to a 20-goal haul, while he also played a vital role in Parma’s Coppa Italia triumph – his second trophy as a Crociati player.

After various spells at clubs in Italy (Juventus, Genoa and Bologna) and abroad (Valencia, Monaco and Montréal Impact), he hung up his playing boots in 2014 and embarked on a career as a sporting director.
