FABIO PECCHIA: “WE PLAY TO WIN, WE WANT TO FINISH TOP“

Collecchio, 4 May 2024 - Coach Fabio Pecchia spoke in a press conference ahead of Cremonese.

TARDINI SOLD OUT, EMOTIONS TO BE SHARED

It has been hard for everyone after Bari, this is a moment to celebrate, to gather our emotions and share it with our fans, to embrace our people. This is natural, but then there is a small catch that is extraordinarily important: creating this type of mentality and holding on to it until the very end. We have an end goal, we have made it to Serie A and are very proud. But there is an important aim to be reached, considering the intelligence of my group, the ability and desire to keep winning. Tardini sold-out? It's a great feeling and is right to be so, it's the time to share our joy with our people. We want to celebrate with them but first we have to play the game. As a player I experienced a full Tardini, but that was some years ago... It feels like an eternity has passed since Bari, but it is just a few hours. This emotion and joy hasn't left but will be carried with us to the end of a season that didn't end in Bari. We need to think about tomorrow's game against a good opponent. We have every intention to play to win'.

AIM TO FINISH TOP

The journey has been clear as is the aim. What we have done as well as continuing to build that winning mentality and make the most of our potential. The objectives become a natural consequence. These lads are aware and know they have to dig deep for the right energy over the last two games'.

INVISIBLE TEAM AND ANSALDI'S ROLE

“Teamwork starts with the shop workers, the groundskeepers, the chef. Everyone has a fundamental role, the invisible team behind us is not recognised enough. But it has a fundamental importance as they make things work and give us positive energy. Those closer to the squad have a big impact, my staff has expanded to include everyone I have found at this Club. Ansaldi? It will be up to him what he does in future. He has done well recently, no physical problems and has played a key role. I have always emphasised this and wanted to remind him of the work he has done after Bari. He has been a constant, positive presence'.

CAPTAIN DELPRATO

He has evolved, technically and in terms of leadership. He is a man of few words but with substance'.

PARMA

Will I stay at Parma? I have never had any doubts, my aim was to work at Parma, get to Serie A and then keep working with this Club, curious to see how our lads approach the top flight'.

CREMONESE A SKILLED OPPONENT

We face a technically skilled opponent on Sunday with a physical defence. An expert side who knows how to manage games, aside from recent results where they have lost some ground. Until not long ago they played to win and finish high up. We need to keep a quick rhythm as they are good on the ball'.
