SERIE A DEBUT AND MVP: IT'S 'TOTAL' BONNY

Parma, 18 August 2024 - “I’m pleased to have played such a game, and I believe we can do well in Serie A this season. We set no limits and will approach every match as if it were a final.” These were the words of striker Ange-Yoan Bonny, who was named MVP after the match against Fiorentina, the opening game of the Serie A Enilive 2024/25 season.

Bonny earned the accolade in a game against a team of European pedigree like Fiorentina (who have been Conference League finalists for two consecutive years), and it was on the day of his Serie A debut.

Bonny’s Serie A debut was highlighted by a decisive assist for Dennis Man, which contributed to his MVP title, as voted by the many passionate football fans who attended the match. Bonny played a crucial role in the spectacular move leading to Man’s goal, achieved with just 6 touches of the ball: Suzuki’s long pass, Valeri’s header, two touches by Angelo, and two by Man (a control and a stunning shot, all in one second).

The Gialloblu striker stood out in the match as the player who created the most goal-scoring opportunities (4). Additionally, over this season and last, he has provided 8 assists, making him the youngest player with at least this number of assists.

'I’m very happy to have won this award. Forza Parma!” said Ange-Yoan Bonny from the sidelines during the MVP presentation.
