PARMA CALCIO AND PUMA UNVEIL NEW THIRD KIT INSPIRED BY PARMA'S MUSICAL HERITAGE

Parma, 30 September 2024 – In the stunning setting of the Ridotto del Teatro Regio di Parma, a 19th-century masterpiece regarded as one of the most important theatres in Italy and worldwide, Parma Calcio and PUMA unveiled the new Gialloblu Third Kit this afternoon. The kit, inspired by Parma's rich musical culture and tradition, will be worn by the Men's and Women's First Teams, as well as all the Club's Youth Teams, throughout the 2024/25 season.

This year, Parma Calcio proudly celebrates the centenary of the home of the Gialloblu family, the Stadio Ennio Tardini, a place that has become a symbol of passion, pride, and sporting traditions. The Club's Third Kit draws inspiration from Parma's musical heritage, where the excellence of great masters and the extraordinary talent of thousands of opera professionals have cemented the city's rich musical legacy. The yellow and blue texture of the kit creatively nods to a musical score, inspired by Verdi's Aida, which traditionally plays as Parma Calcio's Men's First Team enters the pitch. As with the previously unveiled kits, the collar features the commemorative Tardini 100 logo.

'Another important piece in celebrating the excellence of our region comes from the creativity of the PUMA design team and Parma Calcio with the club's Third Kit. A tribute to Parma's great musical tradition, presented during the Verdi Festival in the magnificent setting of the Teatro Regio, where the greatest artists of all time have performed. A collection of symbols and values that we are proud to carry with us this season', emphasised Luca Martines, Managing Director Corporate of Parma Calcio.

The Club's Third Kit is an aesthetic representation of a broader and more meaningful agreement between Parma Calcio and the Teatro Regio of Parma, unique in the history of both institutions. This uniqueness is embodied in the essence of the partnership, which stands as a synergistic collaboration driven by a shared goal: the growth, development, promotion, and support of our city and its excellence. This is achieved through an intercultural and social exchange between seemingly different worlds, united by a focus on people and their emotions. It highlights the excellence of Parma and its region, blending football and music, both bound by the values of creativity and a deep love for a city with great international allure in both music and sport. This fusion of two worlds allows for an even more authentic and profound emotional experience.

The Teatro Regio, in whose Ridotto Hall the new Gialloblu Third Kit was unveiled today, is a symbol of Italy's grand operatic tradition. The new kit pays tribute to the history and iconic nature of the famous 'Giallo Parma,' the traditional colour of the city. This shade was established as the city's 'official' colour by French architect Petitot during the restoration work in the latter half of the 18th century.
