Parma Women continued their unbeaten streak with a 2-0 win over Cesena on Matchday 5 of the Serie B Femminile season, maintaining their position at the top of the league with maximum points alongside Ternana.
The deadlock was broken in the 15th minute, when Distefano freed up space for Rognoni who found herself on the edge of the box, after dribbling past a defender she slotted home with a precise right-footed shot into the corner.
Cesena looked for an equaliser, but Parma's defence showed again its solidity and awareness.
In the second half, the gialloblù found a second in the 65th minute, again from a set piece: Ferrario took a free kick from the left and Masu cut across to the near post to head it in and make it 2-0.
Cesena didn't give up and proved dangerous, hitting the woodwork in the 75th minute with a free kick from Sofia Testa.
An important for Colantuono's side, who once again confirmed their brilliant form and now look towards the Emiliano derby against Bologna on Sunday 13 October.
