Parma, 27 October 2024 - Midfielder Adrian Bernabé shared his thoughts after the draw against Empoli, on Matchday Nine of Serie A 2024/25.

'In the first half we were not incisive, in the second half we kept attacking putting them under pressure, we just made a slight mistake in the final passage of play. There's a bit of a sour taste left, we found ourselves in front of goal able to put the game to bed, which is what we wanted.

The role? I can play in many roles on the pitch, not just in centre midfield, I feel good in every position. I can also play in other roles and this also makes life easier for the Head Coach when it comes to making selections. His decisions are also made depending on the opponent. It's always good for me when he wants to pick me, if I play further forward I have more freedom, if I play deeper I can get more touches on the ball and help the team play so I am happy in both positions.

There's definitely a bitter feeling, not just from this week but also the two months because we feel as if we could have won the match whenever we took to the field, we have created a lot of chances, and we haven't conceded much just like today. I think we deserve to have more points than what we have now. We have to keep working and keep remaining as one.

Bonny? I can't say anything because he gives so much for the team, he puts in a lot of effort and you see what he does on the pitch, missing a penalty can happen. He'll score the next one, he always makes a big contribution and we can't say anything about him otherwise.

We did a lot of good things today, we gave our all as a team just like the fans did for us. Football is like this: you don't always get what you deserve. We made a few mistakes in the first half, but I am satisfied because in the second half we played as a team. The fans were there for us from the start and right until the end, they were always by our side, the atmosphere is always great with them by our side'.
