Roma, 3 September 2024 – Salvatore Colantuono’s Parma Women continued their impressive form with a hard-fought victory against Roma, maintaining their perfect record at the top of the league with no goals conceded. The decisive moment came in the 17th minute when Carlotta Masu scored from a corner, capitalising on a set-piece to break the deadlock.
The first half proved challenging for the Gialloblu, as they struggled to find their rhythm. However, they managed to head into the break with a one-goal lead.
In the second half, Parma ramped up the pressure, coming close to doubling their advantage with efforts from Distefano, Benedetti, and Ferrario, but the Roma defence held firm and thwarted every opportunity.
Looking ahead, the Gialloblu are set to face a crucial match in the Coppa Italia round of 16 against Inter, scheduled for Wednesday at Il Noce Stadium.
