NAHUEL ESTEVEZ: ”DRAW WOULD'VE BEEN FAIR, HAPPY TO BE BACK ON THE PITCH”

Parma, 4 November 2024 - Nahuel Estevez shared his thoughts after Parma vs. Genoa, on Matchday 11 of the Serie A Enilive 2024/25 season.

'It's a match that we could've even drawn, we have to look forward because there's a long season ahead. We always have a great relationship with the fans, they are so important for us, we must always fight together, we need them and we have to give our all so that they can push us on. Playing against the big and other sides? They are different types of matches, against sides like Genoa there are less chances, but against big sides the games are more open. I have been out for a while, I wasn't used to this, but I'm happy to be back.

What went down? There were a few small details but I think the draw would've been fair because neither side was better than the other. We have to look ahead and fight until the end, we know that the Serie A is hard. I understand the fans' frustration, but we must stay together. We need them but we also need to give them something. I don't think we were tired, it was a completely different game compared to the one against Juventus. We have to keep working.

The league season is long and difficult, there's more space when you play the big sides, but we have to look at ourselves, stay together and keep working. It wasn't a great game to watch, but there's nothing else we can do apart from looking ahead. We're disappointed to not have won, there are many sides with few points and we need wins.

Injury? It's been a while but now I'm ready to help the team. Matches like the one today are difficult, it can happen when you win a game having created less. We need to find a balance, the Serie A is difficult and we know that, we will work to improve. We know that there are some things we're doing well and some things that we're not. I think that we deserved more in the end, but this is football, we need to work and get more points. Mistakes happen but we have to work on improving those small details. The injuries? The intensity is high, I haven't spoken to Adrian or Anas yet, let's hope it's nothing too bad'.
