Genoa, 12 January 2025 - Defender Emanuele Valeri shared his thoughts at the end of Genoa 1-0 Parma on matchday 20 of the Serie A Enilive 2024/25 season.

'We approached the game very well in the first half, it was quite a balanced match. We're disappointed because neither team really deserved to win or lose, because we also created a lot. It was a scrappy match. Unfortunately, we went through a really unlucky phase of the game and that lead to the goal. Defensive phase? We conceded very little, they didn't have many chances. We were quite solid and they could only score against us with that one unfortunate incident. Perhaps we lacked a bit of luck. I am one of the oldest here, we're a young group and I like giving tips, above all in matches where the atmosphere is very tense. I think it was a misstep, we have to put it to the back of our minds, work well in the week and lift ourselves back up, because in my opinion, this is always key, especially for a young group who can learn from these defeats. Results will come if we keep working at 100%, but we need to be more cunning. Now our focus is on the Venezia game'.
