PARMA LANDS: A WONDERFUL DAY OF SPORT

Parma, 25 September 2023 - It was an emotional event involving many of the children who participiated in “Parma Lands”, an event part of the sporting fair “Alè Parma Sport Festival”. Over 40 disciplines were present in the heart of the Parco Cittadella in Parma, all to try out across this weekend.

Parma Calcio, represented by Luca Martines (Managing Director Corporate), the SLO Giuseppe Squarcia and teams from Commercial and Operations (Director Stefano Perrone and Vice Roberto Praticò), gave life to the second instalment of Parma Lands: the main meeting point for the technical staff of the Parma Calcio Academy was a Cetilar, the main partner of the project, branded airstream. Here, fans young and old, those curious and with a passion for sports, were entertained by the activities hosted by the Crociati Club on Sunday morning.

A nice surprise arrived in the late morning as Drissa Camara and Antoinette Jewel Williams, as representatives for the First teams, came to the Parco Cittadella for an autograph and photo session. Both Drissa and Antoinette received official welcomes from the Councillor for Sport for the City of Parma, Marco Bosi. All participants were gifted Celitar-branded products (wristbands, hats, and free samples), a flag to hold during the match against Bari on Wednesday and, of course, a free entrance ticket for a child and their guardian for the match between Pecchia and Mignani’s sides at the Tardini.

Inside the Airstream, it was possible to purchase official Parma merchandise for the 2023/24 season until Sunday evening. The Store, headed up by Ugo Maria Galeotti, was a huge success. Furthermore, there were various “challenges” organised with mini-matches and goalscoring games: the prize for the winners was prosciutto, supplied by the official Crociati partner, the Consorzio del Proscuitto di Parma.

Parma Calcio’s involvement did not stop there. The movement ‘Always with blue’, created by the Club to encourage the inclusion of autistic youngsters in sport, also participated in the “Alè Sport Parma Festival”. ‘Always with blue’ organised the participation with the Academy of many children and young people with various disabilities, whilst they were the stars of the event’s closing march.
