Alessandro Lucarelli, current manager of Parma Calcio's Loan Department, has been awarded the USSI prize by the Emiliano Group of Sports Journalists (GERGS), in the presence of President Paolo Reggianini. The event, representing the first stage of four (the next ones in Bologna, Modena, and Forlì), took place in the gymnasium of the 'Bertolucci' Scientific Sports High School in Parma and also saw the presence of other sports athletes, deemed worthy by GERGS for 'having distinguished themselves both in their sports achievements and for their identity in the territory.'

Lucarelli, who served as captain for the gialloblu and boasts over 300 appearances wearing the Parma kit, was accompanied by Ayomide Folorunso (Italian record holder in the 400-meter hurdles) and the Parma-based team’s Panthers (American Football) and Sport Center (the women's water polo team newly promoted to Serie A2 for the first time).

Students from the institute participated in the initiative, and at the end, they directed questions and curiosity to the award winners.
