Parma, 24 September 2023 - Crociato defender, Alessandro Circati’s comments following Parma vs Sampdoria on Matchday 6 of the Serie BKT Championship. 

“The goal? When the ball arrived at my head, I knew I wanted to direct it goalwards. I wanted to open it up and it went well. Samp are a strong team, we had to push but we also had to be careful because otherwise, they could have taken advantage on the counter. I feel more mature, after a year at this age you change quite a lot. I have grown and improved in training, even though I still have to grow and improve from last year. It's the first six games, we just have to keep going. Whoever plays in the centre of defence must do what the coach says, we have different characteristics, but the important thing is to always defend in the same way. Conceding goals can happen, especially if the team is pushing forward. Only two goals conceded? We always work hard on the defensive phase, if they don’t score you can’t lose.”
