OUR CLUB INVOLVED IN THE ANOLINO SOLIDALE 2023 INITIATIVE

Parma, 29 November 2023 - The ‘Anolino Solidale’ is now a tradition for Parma Calcio, with all areas of the Club - from Sport and Corporate through to Paralympic football - getting involved. A large Crociati delegation took part in the community initiative organised by Parma Facciamo Squadra, with whom Parma Calcio has always had a close connection, and contributed to the production of ‘Anolini’, a traditional stuffed egg pasta from Parma.

“Parma Calcio is also about social commitment and not just sports or entertainment. We recognise the value of these initiatives because it is a duty of ours to support our community and strengthen our sense of civil and social responsibility. We are happy to strengthen our involvement alongside Parma Facciamo Squadra. We support numerous initiatives and activities, and Parma Calcio wants to continue to promote equality and help those in the most vulnerable situations,” said Managing Director Corporate Luca Martines.

From the Sport area, Managing Director Sport Roel Vaeyens was joined by head coach Fabio Pecchia, men’s team manager Alessio Cracolici, members from the technical staff, men’s first-team players Dennis Man and Edoardo Corvi, women’s first-team players Elena Nichele and Caterina Ambrosi, women’s club manager Martina Capelli and women’s team manager Elisabetta Ferrari. Football Social Responsability Officer Giuseppe Squarcio, Parma Special head Emanuela Andronaco and coach Stefano Cavalli also took part, as did the Corporate area: in addition to Luca Martines, many employees and collaborators wanted to lend their support and show their solidarity.

This year, the funds raised through the ‘Anolino Solidale’ initiative will go towards civic education and active citizenship support projects aimed at young people, as well as towards the purchase of equipment for prevention activities and public emergency operations in the event of calamitous events and humanitarian crises which require the direct intervention of the Civil Defence of Parma and province.

In 2022, more than 2000 volunteers took part in the ‘Anolino Solidale’ initiative and helped to produce thousands of Anolini, which then reached the tables of many families in Parma and its province. A fantastic effort fueled by the desire of an entire community to come together and show solidarity. As a member of this community, the business world also understood the value of the initiative: groups of company employees were organised and lent a helping hand as volunteers. Parma Calcio joined in these efforts because we always stand for solidarity.
