Parma, 17 April 2024 - An unforgettable day for the boys and girls of Parma Calcio and Rugby Le Viole Amatori Parma. The social sports initiative, born from the collaboration between the two clubs, took shape on Saturday on the occasion of Parma vs. Spezia, at the Tardini.

A day that started early on the fields of La Cittadella del Rugby, where, thanks to the coaching staff of Le Viole led by technical manager Luca Melli and the Parma Academy staff, the young ones had the opportunity to try their hand at both rugby and soccer, blending the two disciplines in various technical and practical activities. A beautiful experience that concluded with lunch after the joint training session in the rugby style, 'Third Half', involving the families present as well.

The experience continued with the emotions offered by the match of Fabio Pecchia's team at the stadium. The children were invited to attend the match against Spezia, and the youngest ones were selected to accompany the players onto the field during the lineup before the kickoff. It was a great thrill, with the Gialloblu winning 2-0. At the end of the day, everyone celebrated at the Ernesto Ceresini Museum for a tour of the Club's history and autographs with the players.

Michele Carbognani, the president of Rugby Le Viole Amatori Parma, commented: 'A truly fantastic day, with enthusiastic children. Le Viole also brought luck to our friends at Parma Calcio. The sharing of experiences on the field during the joint training left a positive mark on both the children and the parents present. This day was born to demonstrate that there is no rivalry between sports, but rather a serious and fruitful collaboration, as emphasized during the presentation by the Managing Director of Sports at Parma Calcio, Roel Vaeyens. As a first-time event, it was truly beautiful.
