Parma, 5 October 2023 - Parma Calcio applauds the proposal made by the Minister for Sport and Youths, Andrea Abodi, who identified the possible appointment of a Government Commissioner for Stadiums as a solution to provide the country with sports facilities of the highest international standards, “standardising the process and putting everyone on the same footing.”

Since 2021, our club has been committed to delivering to the community, to which it is linked by identity and a sense of belonging, a modern stadium, respectful of the historical character of the current facility and yet sustainable and inclusive.

The figure of an ad hoc Commissioner could represent a means of support for clubs to make the procedures for building new facilities more secure and linear, an essential requirement for bridging the current gap between Italian and foreign football. As underlined by the President of the Lega B, Mauro Balata, the entire sport would benefit, and this fully reflects the values that our club has been adopting in its future vision of sustainability.

Parma Calcio, in welcoming the possible introduction of a Government Commissioner for Stadiums, would like to point out that, since the beginning of the preliminary process (May 2021), in a little less than two and a half years, thanks to the Municipal Administration of Parma (first the Pizzarotti administration and now the Guerra administration) important progress has been made towards the final stage of the process.

This was not taken for granted and was made possible thanks to the competence and availability of the Administration's offices. They have been accompanying this project with absolute efficiency and attention in all its forms, with respect for the City, the citizens of Parma and both football and sports fans.
